Norpac completed slope stabilization work on rock slopes at the O’Rourkes Family Winery site. The scope of work included the following:
- Installation of 65 #8 bar (25 mm diameter) dowels, total of 237 linear metres. All dowels were tested and locked off at 124 kN.
- Installation of approximately 600 m2 of Geobrugg DELTAX pinned mesh.
Work was completed using a combination of rope-access techniques and a telehandler with man basket. This project presented specific challenges – in particular due to part of the site being inside an enclosed building – including noise and dust control and prevention of damage to any existing infrastructure.
